Pitch reported explanations, thoughtful comparisons, background pieces, myth-checks and occasion-specific guides connected to changing roles, routines, relationships or places. A strong proposal has a clear reader question and a distinct angle that does not repeat an existing piece.

What to include

Use the Contact page to send a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and why the subject has lasting value. Explain what material or sources could support the piece, and disclose any relevant interests or relationships. Do not include private information about other people without a clear reason and appropriate care.

We value precise, humane writing that leaves room for different circumstances and avoids easy promises. We do not accept pitches that require professional medical, legal or financial advice, or claims presented without suitable support. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication.
